Welcome
The Old Dominion Dental Society, Inc was founded in 1913 as a forum for minority dentists who were (at the time) denied membership in the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Virginia Dental Association. This society has represented the hopes and aspirations of the African-American dentist in Virginia for more than 90 years. The organization provided scholarships annually for minority dental students throughout the state. In addition to the scholarships, the Old Dominion dental Society members donate their time and expertise for a number of state and community service organizations.
There are thousands of organizations, each with a specific purpose or goal. There are many reasons why one should consider becoming part of an organization he or she believes in. By building an effective web site, we hope to get our message out to a larger audience of people interested in similar issues. |
The Old Dominion Dental Society, Inc. has traditionally sponsored high caliber continuing education sessions for its membership, auxiliary staff personnel, guests. Its membership is made up of over 200 dentists throughout the state of Virginia. |
The NDA has become the voice of over 6000 African Americas dentists in the United States and abroad. The two organizations share the philosophy that health care is born right for all people. Our mission is to further promote the interests of our organization and our members to the community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach. |
